The bridge is approximately 72m tall at its highest point and stretches 400m from bank to bank, with a steel cable-stay span of 160m at its centre.
Duratec was engaged to complete final protective coating treatment works to defects and cruciforms while maintaining public access to the bridge.
Duratec utilised a combination of rope and elevated work platform (EWP) access, including an SX 180 EWP, the highest reaching in the southern hemisphere.
Highlights
- Up to 45 staff operating on the project at any given time.
- 2,200 repair locations formed the BOQ and variations.
- Project completed using a certified gantry system to allow public access.
