Incitec Pivot Fertilisers have been involved in agriculture for over 100 years, playing an important role in enabling
sustainable food production to meet the rapidly rising demand
around the world.
Details
As part of Incitec’s ongoing maintenance strategy, we were engaged to blast and paint a number of roof trusses in their main fertiliser storage shed in Townsville.
One of the major project requirements was that there would be little impact on their normal production activities.
We utilised our local team for project management, quality control, supervision and all abrasive blasting and coating works as well as sub-contracting a number of Townsville based companies for specialist services.
Highlights
- Dry abrasive blasting to SA2½ of all corroded roof truss and purlin surfaces with the roof sheeting removed.
- Abrasive blast the roof purlin tops as opposed to just doing mechanical preparation.
- Temporary removal and replacement of existing roof sheets without damage.
Capabilities
