HMAS Stirling is the primary operational support base for the Royal Australian Navy capability on the west coast of Australia.

The existing infrastructure has reached or is nearing the end of its design life and will not continue to effectively support Navy operations without immediate and substantial refurbishment.
The HMAS Stirling Redevelopment Stage 3A Project aims to upgrade and refurbish existing key infrastructure and facilities to meet the requirements of current and projected operational and support capabilities. Duratec has been engaged by Doric Group to perform the works for the MA2 portion of the project which comprises remediation of the following structures:
Armament Wharf:
Concrete and cathodic protection (CP) repair, joint sealing, protective elastomeric coatings, replacement of jetty and dolphin access way, light pole replacement and trial pile repairs.
Diamantina Pier:
Joint repairs, protective silane coatings and replacement of light fittings/coating repairs to flood light tower. High Level Bridge: concrete and CP repair, custom finger plate joint replacement, replacement of pile caps and fixing straps, repainting of vehicle guard rail.
Moresby Harbour:
Concrete repair, joint repairs, protective silane coatings and a trial pile repair.
Oxley & Parkes Wharves:
Concrete and CP repair, joint repairs, protective silane and elastomeric coatings and light fittings replacement/protective coatings to flood light towers.
Diamantina to Parkes Service Tunnel:
Concrete repair.
