With a capacity of over 76 million litres, the Cotter Dam is an impressive structure that safeguards the ACT’s water security and allows them to better deal with droughts, reducing the need for high level water restrictions.
Project Details
Our ACT team were engaged by ICON Water to conduct remediation and refurbishment works on the Cotter Dam log boom. The log boom is a barrier designed to collect and contain floating logs to ensure vital assets downstream are protected from damage.
Scope of Works
- Replacement of log boom fixings.
- Replacement of on water boat gate.
- Supply and installation of new 800kg in water anchors.
- Construction of 16m3 insitu concrete shoreline anchor block.
- Relocation of existing in water anchors.
