Duratec Australia were engaged by Diploma Constructions to carry out specialist concrete remedial works to the balconies and internal building at 726 Hay St, Perth.
Details
The works involve waterproofing to balconies, application of MCI, Xypex topping installations, conventional concrete repair, crack injection and glass flake coatings application. Internal
beam repairs are being carried out with the use of sacrificial anodes with both the form and pour method as well as with patch repairs.
This Heritage Listed site is the old Walsh’s building that was originally built in 1923 and is being converted into new offices and retail tenancies. It has an art deco style of architecture on the external facade.
Highlights
- Works being done to a very tight builders program with multiple crews and a peak manning level in excess of 20 personnel.
- Night shift works are being undertaken with glass flake application to avoid disruption to the site with chemical odour with approx. 8,500 m2 to be sprayed.the existing access.
