Duratec was recently awarded the contract for the Adelaide Town Hall conservation project by the City of Adelaide.
As well as housing the offices of the Lord Mayor, councillors, CEO and Council administration, this civil, public and function centre hosts community services, concerts and other events. As such, it must remain in excellent condition in accordance with the Council’s Community Land Management Plan.
The project will see Duratec carry out renewal works to the building’s facade to not only benefit the community but to also preserve its historical and cultural significance. The restoration includes a range of intricate tasks, such as repointing stone, consolidating stone and render and regilding of the gold ball atop the finial.
