The Duratec and Ertech Joint Venture team in WA took part in a safety initiative by partnering with the Helping Hands Program.

With hand and finger injuries being one of the most common workplace accidents in Australia, the team took part in an exercise to build a prosthetic hand. During the exercise, they were only allowed to use their non-dominant hand so they could experience what it would be like to lose function in one hand and fully understand just how we take for granted the day to day use of our hands and fingers.

The day was a huge success and was very moving for all participants, allowing them to reflect on the importance of safety in the workplace.
