Duratec is committed to the development of all employees to enable them to pursue a career in the remediation and specialist contracting industry.
The company’s learning and development division offers apprenticeships and workplace traineeships to provide employees with the knowledge and skills to gain certification and advance their careers.
Apprenticeships and traineeships are available across Australia as Duratec is dedicated to the growth of individuals throughout the communities in which it works. Training needs are identified through a skills gap analysis, which is conducted during Duratec’s onboarding and induction process. An employee’s requirements may change during their career with Duratec so this is monitored throughout their employment.
There are currently 46 people undertaking apprenticeships and traineeships with Duratec across a number of disciplines.
Some of the courses offered include:
- Certificate III – Surface Preparation and Coatings Application
- Certificate III/IV – Engineering Technical
- Certificate III/IV – Business Administration
- Certificate III/IV – Civil Construction
As well as assisting apprentices and trainees in attaining a qualification, all while gaining valuable experience on site, Duratec aims to contribute to skills shortages across the country. A by-product of these endeavours is the creation of highly effective Duratec employees with the skills to deliver positive project outcomes across various industries.
