Heritage listed in 2006, Council House in Perth’s CBD was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 1963, and houses the City Of Perth’s offices.

There are eight fountains located on the podium deck at the front of the building, housed in a shallow rectangular pond.
Water leakage had occurred through the reinforced concrete slab joints and at other locations caused by the overflowing of fountain ponds during storm events, poor joint detail between the pond liner and pond walls and leakage through the defective joint sealant system.
Duratec was engaged to re-waterproof and re-tile the ponds in place of the existing HDPE liner, bringing them back to their original constructed appearance.
Other works included replacement of acrylic polymer water feature bowls and associated hydraulics and replacement of lighting to provide an updated architectural visual feature
Highlights
