Duratec was engaged to maintain a CIL tank internal and external ring beam at Jundee Gold Mine.
Details
Carbon-in-leach tank 2 had been dropped for repair and a complete new steel floor installed during the shutdown period. The scope of works included grouting underneath the tank base and new coatings applied to internal wall and floor sections. Polibrid elastomeric urethane was used to accommodate the abrasive nature of the tank and was applied at a dry film thickness of 2mm.
A new boot seal was also installed to the outer tank section and pedestal interface using a combination of Polibrid and geotextile enabling good flexibility.
